Battery G, also referred to in many publications of the time as Michigan’s 7th Battery, served mostly in the western theatre of the war. The Battery fought in several battles down the Mississippi River to the Texas gulf coast, with it’s final battle at Mobile Bay, Alabama. Today, Battery G is a Living History Group that aspires to accurately portray life as it was during the American Civil War, with special emphasis on our portrayal of life in the Union Artillery.
