Join us May 25 at 7 PM for “Singled Out” featuring Lost John. The live taping will take place at Meteor Guitar Gallery located at 128 W. Central Ave. in Bentonville. ““Singled Out” is a music show that celebrates the individual musicians who make up our favorite regional bands. Through musical performances and interviews, the show’s host gets to the heart of each ensemble by singling them out for their talents, personal stories, and sources of inspiration. The show is part of “Sunday Night Service,” a performance series recorded live to be aired on KUAF 91.3 Public Radio. The show is $15 and open to all ages.
5/25/17 Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy @ 8 PM
“CARRIE NATION & THE SPEAKEASY is a high-energy sextet from Wichita, KS. The band, whose sound has been described as “…a stagecoach in
overdrive”, has brought their eclectic blend of bluegrass, ska, punk, and dixieland to
packed clubs, basements, and festivals across the US since their inception in the spring of 2007. CNS has built a solid following playing 47 states and 5 countries with their energetic live show and ability to fit on the bill with acts ranging from bluegrass to rockabilly; punk to ska. As the banjo rolls over rhythmic guitar, breakneck mandolin solos melt into blaring trombone and trumpet lines, while the standup bass and feed- bucket-trap- set churn out driving rhythms that carry the force of a Kansas freight train.”
Sunday Night Service is a performance series produced by Artist’s Laboratory Theatre that includes two different shows, “Singled Out” and “The All You Need to Know Show.” Each show is recorded live and later aired on KUAF 91.3 public radio every Sunday at 7 PM.
